Full Job Description

Dyer Engineering wants to create engineering futures in the Northeast, and we do this in several ways; long-term commercial contracts, investing in plant and machinery and investing in our people, especially our Apprentice Programme.

The apprenticeship programme is designed to give people an opportunity to develop practical skills, create a strong internal talent pipeline and provide social mobility opportunities to our community.

Offers hands-on training and theoretical knowledge to develop expertise in machining techniques.

Typical duties for standard: cutting, drilling, shaping and preparing metal materials during fabrication activities

  • Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) Level: 3

  • Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) Level 3, Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will gain a Level 3 qualification in Metal Fabrication which opens up potential job opportunities., Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Team working, Initiative, GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) Essential

  • GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) Essential

    Based in County Durham, UK, we have wide experience in a wide range of industries including rail, automotive, defence, oil & gas, offshore, renewables and mining. We are very experienced in dealing with our diverse blue-chip international customer base and supporting the extensive requirements demanded of their markets and sectors. We supply both our local market and export across the world. We have experience of performing design related activities including proof of concepts, prototypes, stress analysis and CE Marking. We manage over 98% of our work in-house within our modern production facilities (100,000 sqft) and our processes include profiling, a full range of welding and fabrication facilities, large bed-multi-axis CNC machining, shot-blasting, painting and powder coating as well as mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic assembly services.
