Full Job Description

As Events Officer, you will:

  • Lead on the administration and delivery of fundraising events with the Events Manager

  • Provide high levels of supporter experience to events participants before, during and after events

  • Recruit and train volunteers for events

  • Work towards fundraising income targets, As a UNICEF Gold Rights Respecting organisation, we are committed to ensuring that the United Nations Convention for the Rights of the Child is embedded into both culture and practice within the organisation. As an employee you will be a Duty Bearer for Children's Rights and support all children to be Rights Holders.

    Experience of fundraising events

  • Understanding of the supporter journey

  • Ability to travel across the region to attend to events, including transportation of event material and equipment

  • Ability to work outside of normal office hours to attend events

    Acorns is currently the UK's largest children's hospice charity, in terms of both numbers of children and families supported and annual expenditure on our care work. We need to raise more than £11 million each year to run and support our care services and we rely heavily on the goodwill and generosity of our local community.

    £27,000 to £32,000 per annum (FTE)

  • 37 hours per week
