Full Job Description

The Estates Team's mission is to create and maintain safe, accessible, and comfortable physical environments and provide quality resources, facilities and services for all learners, staff and visitors.
We are looking for a professional, proactive, and highly customer focused individual to join our Estates team to build on and improve our customer focus and the service we provide to our customers within Exeter College.
As an Estates Security & Services Assistant you will be part of a team who are responsible for assisting our customers in a variety of ways, such as setting up classrooms for exams and open events or moving and storing furniture. You will also hold responsibility for ensuring the College's security is maintained; undertaking building patrols and operating surveillance equipment. This will include opening and closing buildings and classrooms, working with fire alarms and activating/de-activating intruder alarms.

Another essential aspect of the role will be to carry out minor repairs and general maintenance work, alongside responsibility for providing a professional postal service which includes sorting the post, as well as delivering it to all our College sites.

You will have relevant work experience and good interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work flexibly within a team. You will have the ability to move goods and equipment in accordance with manual handling guidelines.

Full time shift pattern based on alternating shifts: 7am - 2.30pm or 2.30pm -10pm (Monday- Friday) £1500 Shift Allowance included on top of Salary.

A full driving license is essential, as you will need to drive a College vehicle as part of the role.
