Speedy are the UK's leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant, and support services - everything for every job!Speedy have an exciting new position for a Data Quality Manager who will be an in-house data expert, comfortable working with data, business, and system processes to enable business opportunities and enhance colleague and customer experience within the Speedy Solutions division, whilst defining what first-class data quality and system management looks like and working to embed best practice within the organisation through communication, training, and guidance.Working with the departmental heads, the DQM will agree who the accountable data owners are across key data domains. These people will be experts within functional business areas who understand the data and will be responsible, along with the DQM, for delivering the required data quality improvements.The DQM will support these resources by designing and implementing a data
quality management framework that can measure the quality and accuracy of the data throughout the business. This will be supported by software tools that can monitor data quality and ensure focus is provided in the areas of low quality.The data governance framework will guide the business resources on the taxonomy, creation, storage, maintenance and improvement of the data and will apply effective metrics around the data quality that allows understanding and development of the company data to the required standard through measurement and reporting.The DQM will work with the senior leadership team to provide guidance, prioritisation and appropriate resourcing to manage critical issues and/or significant risks around data quality. As well as over-seeing the management of data quality, the DQM should be prepared to support the business data owners in rectifying data quality issues with a hands on approach.Key objectives Deliver a data governance that ensures data accountability and
responsibility in the business with a support framework from IT/BI.Align and prioritise data quality requirements to strategic projects and ensure data quality is on the critical path for project delivery.Create a data quality management process that clearly shows data quality measurement through a system of KPIs and programmes of work that demonstrate data quality improvements.Drive the data quality agenda through education and be the evangelist for data quality improvement across the company.Draw on industry expertise and work with key partners to develop expert systems to optimise data quality processes.Key skills and deliverables are detailed on the associated job description.Excellent data skills being proficient with relational databases and SQLKnowledge of the key aspects of data qualityProven ability to deliver visually impactful reporting/dashboardsExcellent communication skillsHave a passion for data and its contribution to delivering business valueKnowledge of data quality
