Full Job Description

The Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and various cyber threats. By adhering to best practices and staying abreast of emerging threats and trends, the Cyber Security Engineer ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's information assets. This role is critical in safeguarding Europa Worldwide Group's overall security posture and contributing to a robust and cohesive security strategy.,

  • Coordinate and participate in IT security-related projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.

  • Provide security expertise in various IT projects to ensure secure implementations.

  • Ownership, maintenance, and support of Cyber Security toolsets.

  • Collaborate with other IT professionals, such as SOC Analysts, Network Security Engineers, Infrastructure Engineers, and Support teams to ensure that security is built into new systems and applications.

  • Innovate and implement advanced security measures to protect systems, networks, and data, ensuring integration with existing IT infrastructure.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability audits to identify potential security threats and implement measures to mitigate risks.

  • Leverage open-source intelligence (OSINT) to gather, analyse, and interpret publicly available information to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Ensure adherence to cybersecurity best practices and frameworks.

  • Create, update, and enforce security policies, processes, and procedures.

  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and promote a culture of security awareness within the organization.

  • Respond promptly to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and remediation.

  • Ensure adherence to cybersecurity best practices and frameworks while staying current with emerging security trends and technologies.

  • Provide BAU support for Cyber Security related tickets/incidents.

  • Provide expert guidance on potential security impacts of new technologies and processes.

  • Advise management and leadership teams on security strategies, policies, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to evaluate, integrate, and manage security solutions.

  • Work under strict change control processes to ensure only authorised changes are carried out.

    2-3 years' experience in a previous Cyber Security role.

  • An appetite and appreciation of the Cyber Security landscape including emerging risks.

  • Curious, innovative, and willing to challenge conventional approaches and test new ones.

  • Solid understanding of network fundamentals

  • Experience using and maintaining Endpoint Detection and Response technologies.

  • Experience Analysing Emails (Reading and understanding e-mail headers)

  • Passionate about Cyber Security.

  • Experience with Vulnerability Management.

  • Experience with Cloud and M365 security technologies., SIEM tools

  • Vulnerability Management

  • Security Automation (SOAR)

  • Endpoint detection and Response platforms (EDR)

  • Cloud Security including MS 365

  • Incident Response

  • Email Security, CompTIA Security+

  • CompTIA CySA+

  • SSCP
