Full Job Description

As part of our Housing Management Contact, you'll be central to compiling our financial claims to the council for capital investment spend and ensuring this data is accurate. You'll also assist in development of proposals for the capital investment programme, accounting for asset management needs, available budgets, and the outcomes of tenant and leaseholder consultations.
You'll provide advice and in-house specification, design, and costing services in relation to basic construction works, including mechanical or electrical schemes.

  • What you'll be doing:

  • Financial monitoring of the capital programme for our stock.

  • Monitoring the performance of the Investment Programme against target progress and spend.

  • Assisting with grant applications and other funding sources, to improve investment resources.

  • Producing specifications, contract documentation, Schedules of Rates and Bills of Quantities as required.

  • Continually reviewing spending and it's causes to reduce costs and make efficiencies.

    Ideally hold BTEC or HND (or equivalent) in construction or surveying.

  • Ideally be a member of RICS or equivalent professional body such as CIOB.

  • Extensive knowledge of construction works and contract administration., Disability Confident
