We have a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking, friendly and reliable individual to join our growing production team, as a Freezer Production Operative.

This role is a real opportunity to experience different aspects of our freezer department in the factory and the variety of production based duties available within our fast-paced and exciting environment.

The type of duties you can expect, but are not restricted to, includes picking and packing our frozen fish, strapping and palletising frozen fish orders, booking in deliveries and checking quality control, rotating stocks, carrying out stock takes and daily cleaning and maintaining of our freezer.

As a Freezer Production Operative, you will be based in a cold environment (freezer) for prolonged periods of time, so full PPE and uniform will be supplied. You will be working alongside our fun and supportive factory and freezer team, as well as be in communication with our friendly sales and buying team.

We have introduced an employee development and grading system that allows employees to grow their careers and have a better earning potential. This job advert details a starting salary, but when you progress and improve in the role, your earning also improves.

Previous production experience would be advantageous, but is not essential as full training will be provided.

Please note, during peak periods, there might be a requirement to work some overtime due to delivery and business needs, which is payable as overtime.

General duties will include, but are not restricted to:

· Duties could include but are not restricted to, picking and packing our frozen fish, strapping and palletising frozen fish orders, booking in deliveries and checking quality control, rotating stocks, carrying out stock takes and daily cleaning and maintaining of our freezer.

· Reducing waste through quality checking and reducing picking errors

· Following food hygiene and health and safety policies

· Assisting other areas as required

· Embracing training opportunities and taking ownership of your own personal development

· Attending staff meetings as required

· Previous production experience would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided

· Ability to stand or walk for extending periods, lift heavy items, and work in a very cold environment

· Ability to prioritise work to set deadlines, meaning good organisational skills

· Good communication skills

· Good time management skills, being punctual and reliable

· Able to work well independently and in a team

· Enthusiastic and self-motivated

· Demonstrates drive and positive approach to work

· Willingness to learn and progress

· Flexible approach to paid overtime during peak periods
