BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER OPPORTUNITY WITH A PROGRESSIVE KENT BASED COMPANY SEEKING A HIGHLY SKILLED AMBITIOUS INDIVIDUAL. (A background in waste management is absolutely essential, please do not apply if your experience is outside the scope of the job criteria).
The business is now ready for the next phase of growth following strong trading performances and therefore recruiting to expand our team to deliver this growth.
As Business Development Manager, you will be a key, senior, member of the team in a business that has grown exponentially in recent years by providing large 'blue chip', often multi-site customers with innovative recycling and waste management solutions backed by outstanding customer service.
We aren't your typical waste broker by any stretch, our income sources are split between outsourced and self delivered services. We operate a well established successful self-delivered waste clearance business which is complemented by our specialist cleaning, property management/maintenance & pest control divisions, our key clients are predominately public sector/local authority.
We are looking for someone who can identify and close new opportunities from day one. This is a 100% new business role and therefore you must have the drive and determination to make an instant impact, this is not a Account Management role, this is for a hungry hunter who enjoys the buzz of the new win who'll have the till ringing from the get go. We are looking for someone with a strong B2B background in particular the waste sector selling into high value Key/Corporate accounts with a demonstrable/proven track record of success selling into multi-site businesses or high value single sites.
The role will be office based in Faversham with regular travel.
Key experience required: Experienced in selling waste management related services at a National/ Corporate level is essential.
Job requirements:
Pro-actively selling profitable new business and waste contracts at a senior, corporate level
Create strategic target accounts and work towards the development of relationships with those
We are looking for a driven sales professional with a proven track record in waste management sales who can clearly demonstrate previous successes
Actively sourcing leads, arranging site visits and meetings to discuss business proposals
Strong negotiation skills to deal with pricing
We are seeking a consistent over achiever of targets and someone who is very self-motivated.
You will have excellent customer service and organisational skills along with the ability to work well under pressure
Trusted and autonomous role
A full clean driving license is essential to this role,
- A-Level or equivalent (preferred), Waste Industry: 3 years (required)
£30-40k + uncapped bonus scheme. The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training. Company car or car allowance included. - Yes
