Full Job Description

To provide business analysis and project management services across the business, as well as leading a range of process enhancements, projects and initiatives; ensuring they have established intended business benefits, which are achieved by the project deliverables and outcomes. To serve as a trusted advisor to the business; helping them in their pursuit of continuous improvement in optimizing business process and delivering business value from technology. To support the business with continuous improvement helping to develop processes and procedures where relevant, as well as business analysis and providing the role of a critical friend. To support with the evolution of the Speed Medical Project Management Framework and the expanding the reach of the Project Team duties and responsibilities across Speed Medical and other companies within the handl Group.

The main duties and responsibilities this role will be:

  • To follow the Project Management Framework as relevant to the project or initiative, to ensure successful delivery of projects to time, cost and quality, effectively managing change and scope creep within the project environment, along with risk management and mitigation as well as the production of high quality documentation.

  • To support the business in the development of business cases, including cost benefit analysis as well as investigating and understanding issues and problems identified.

  • To ensure effective stakeholder management, communication and engagement as well as appropriate project reporting.

  • Complete analysis of as is and to be, identifying the issues and opportunities, and producing business requirements and process mapping documentation. Design appropriate solutions for consideration by the business.

  • Act as a point of contact for changes, ensuring a shared understanding of business requirements across the business and IT and facilitating discussions, seeking decisions as appropriate and providing guidance to ensure the successfully implementation of the change, ensure that agree development and processing approaches are adhered to.

  • Working with the business to develop test plan and guidance documentation, overseeing UAT and managing issues raised during testing.

  • Working with the Compliance Officer to ensure that project outputs meet the relevant standards and regulations, including but not limited to GDPR, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001

  • Information

    This is position involving interaction with internal users, external suppliers and other key stakeholders. Initially the role will be office based until appropriate induction / probation period is completed. The Speed Medical Hybrid working approach requires attendance in the office at least once per week and as required when there is a business need. The role may also involve some out of hours work to support solution deployment. The majority of out of hours work can be completed at home. It is likely that occasional travel will be required.

    Speed Medical are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and solutions focused individual to join the Projects Team. You will have excellent problem solving and skills, an eye for detail, be naturally inquisitive and analytical, as well as being a good communicator.

    You should be able to work effectively with staff at all levels of an organisation, with the ability to bring various team across the business to work together collaboratively. You will enjoy a role where no two days are the same and be willing to work on a wide variety of projects and initiatives. You will enjoy getting into the detail, working with the business to explore and understand issues and it would be advantageous if you are the type of person who can understand processes and issues at a technical level.,
  • University Degree Project Management Qualification e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, PMI

  • Experience of project delivery as a member of a project team of a project of size and complexity that spanned over several months and across multiple departments or organizations

  • Managed the delivery of a project as the project manager. Experience of projects with significant IT related deliverables would be beneficial.

  • Understanding of project management processes, practices and tools.

  • Delivery of a project using the Waterfall, Iterative or Agile methodologies

  • Budget Management Experience of budget / cost management and reporting Experience of managing a project budget

  • Business Analysis Experience of undertaking a detail review of a process or other aspects of a business to identify the "as is", issues and opportunities for improvement and define the "to be".

  • Formal documentation of business analysis findings and recommendations, including but not limited to, business requirements and process maps and descriptions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing

  • Experience of writing reports and documentation for presentation to the business for the purpose of communication, information and to enable effective decision-making.

  • Able to build and maintain excellent working relationships across the business and work collaboratively with business users to design, develop and deploy business improvements.

  • Skills Good working knowledge of key MS Office software including word, excel and PowerPoint Experience of using MS Project (or similar project management software) and MS Vision.
