Barista / food service operative

We are recruiting for an interesting role in our catering department which will draw on the skills of an experienced Barista combined with working with our food service team.

Applicants should have a genuine passion for creating the perfect coffee and will look after the daytime/early evening operation of our on-site café bar during College Term time. Out of term time the successful applicant will join our existing team and assist in delivering food services to our summer schools and conferences.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to not only help deliver excellent food and beverage services but to shape our service delivery and continually adapt and evolve to offer an exceptional commercial operation.

Part time/term time only will also be considered for this role.

Term-time working hours:

Monday to Friday 10:30 - 18.00 (3 X 9 week terms)

Out of term

To join our buttery team catering for a variety of summer school and conference cliental, working 40 hrs p/week with extra hours available.

Responsible to: Bar Manager, Catering Manager

Founded in 1379, New College is one of the oldest and largest of the colleges of Oxford University. The colleges are independent, self-governing establishments which function both as academic institutions and as social and residential centres for students. New College currently has approximately 420 undergraduate and 200 graduate students, studying most of the subjects offered by the University of Oxford.
