Full Job Description

Engage Health is looking for an experienced QA Engineer with experience in both manual and automation for our existing and new applications in a diverse, agile environment. You must genuinely desire to learn about all aspects of our software solutions. The ratio of automated testing will be higher initially, however, the ultimate goal is to automate most of the testing over a predefined period, so that ratio will change as the project progresses, to more of a 50/50 split of automation and manual. The successful candidate will have a long term vision and the ability to plan and execute it, along with enthusiasm to work on complex products.

You'll be working with an established software development team on exciting

projects delivering exceptional solutions and value to NHS health care

professionals, patients and their carers throughout the UK. Providing high quality software is fundamental to what drives our client's success, and now we are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to help continue the already excellent work of embedding automation testing best practices into our software lifecycle. You'll work closely with team to ensure an optimal testing strategy. Along with exploratory testing of new features, there's also the opportunity to help us improve our workflow through the introduction of new practices and the application of automated testing.

You'll be an advocate for quality in all aspects of software development and be

involved in defining the acceptance criteria for new features and responsible

for ensuring features built adhere to that criteria.

Responsible for:

  • Developing and executing test plans, test cases, test data, test scenarios, and other testing related documentation based on the requirements and technical specifications


  • Plan, develop, execute, and improve Automated Test Frameworks and Automated Test Scripts for Web and Mobile applications


  • Identify process and application issues and provide suggestions to


  • improve

  • Accurately report and track testing related defects and issues, by writing


  • effective and thorough bug reports, and work with the Development

    team to resolve and meet deliverable deadlines

  • Reporting of automated tests and associated results


  • Learn new technologies and adapt to them as needed


  • Identify and deploy automation solutions based on changing project

    Minimum of 2 years of automation testing experience which should include;

  • Creating automation test frameworks - essential

  • Exploratory testing - essential

  • Regression testing - essential

  • Familiar with Agile environments

  • Meticulous in your approach to detail

  • Experience of working with Selenium and Cucumber framework using Java Language
