We pay an attractive salary of £36,648 - £39,186 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

Applications are invited for the post of Area Officer, reporting directly to the Green Spaces and Cemeteries Manger, the successful candidate will manage day to day operations of the council's eleven municipal cemeteries and allotment portfolio.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of the legislative requirements relating to cemetery management and ensure that the service is delivered to our residents sensitively and with compassion whilst upholding the rights set out within the Charter for the Bereaved which the Council has held since 2002. This is a development opportunity for those who would like to apply but do not meet the essential qualifications criteria. If successful, the candidate would be expected to achieve the qualification within an agreed timescale.

For the role, we ask that you have:

1. A relevant Level 4 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
2. Knowledge off Health and Safety practices and risk assessment processes.
3. Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence to drive a Council vehicle.
