The Crown Prosecution Service Chief Finance Officer Directorate is delighted to advertise the role of administrative officer within the payroll team.
As part of this role, you make sure information coming through to the payroll team is recorded accurately and dealt with appropriately. You file papers whilst ensuring existing filing systems are maintained and appropriately saved. You also provide other crucial administrative assistance and support to your team.
You must be 16 years old prior to starting in the role. The start date is expected to be 8-12 weeks after this advert closes.
In England and Wales it is a legal requirement that all under 18 year olds must be:
+ In an apprenticeship or traineeship; or
+ Spend 20 hours or more a week working, while also in part-time education or training
If you're under 18, you will need confirm how you will meet the legal requirements listed above should you be offered a position with Crown Prosecution Service., As an administrative officer in our payroll team, you provide vital support to departments across the organisation. You draft, monitor and record correspondence for your team, helping them to work effectively and efficiently. Your customer service helps to maintain positive relationships with criminal justice partners, external agencies and members of the public., If you’re currently doing an apprenticeship within the Crown Prosecution Service and you’re successful in getting this role, you must complete your apprenticeship course if the role is relevant.

Interview
The interview is expected to take place between Wednesday 3 July and Wednesday 17 July 2024, this will be an in-person interview at the Nottingham Office. We test your strengths at interview stage. Other
This is a full-time post. However, requests for flexible, part-time working and job share are considered, bearing in mind the operational needs of the Department.

This role is a mixture of home working and office working . How this is split depends upon the business needs.
You must consider if the commute from your home to the office is a feasible distance to travel before making an application. If you are successful, we will discuss hybrid working before taking up the post.
Clearance Required
If successful, you are required to secure Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance and some areas of the business require you to have Security Check clearance. The clearance you need is confirmed when you’re offered the role.
If you are invited to interview, you are asked to complete the character enquiry form and nationality and immigration questionnaire.
If you are an internal member of staff, you won’t need to do a DBS check as you already hold this clearance.
Waiting List
If you are recommended by the selection panel but not appointed to the current vacancy, you are put on a waiting list for 12 months. You may be offered another role if a vacancy comes up during this period. We may also approach candidates on the waiting list to fill other roles that require similar knowledge and experience.
