Full Job Description

We have an upcoming opportunity within SEIB Insurance Brokers (now part of the Lloyd & Whyte Group) for an Accounts Assistant to join our team. This role will see the successful candidate responsible for the accounts payable function, whilst supporting the Accounts Team in providing accounting support to the wider business; ensuring processes are followed and any discrepancies or queries are fully and efficiently resolved. You will also play a vital part in assisting with the team's day to day administrative tasks, ensuring that company accounting records are consistently up to date.,

  • Achieve individual objectives and key performance indicators as set and agreed

  • Distribute supplier invoices for authorisation to relevant managers

  • Enter authorised supplier invoices onto purchase ledger

  • Pay authorised supplier invoices within credit terms

  • Enter business payments onto sage

  • Reconcile business bank account monthly

  • Process weekly expense claims payments

  • Reconcile petty cash tin

  • Support the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties

  • Provision of ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required by management.

  • Support the wider accounts team by taking phone calls and completing simple Open Gi tasks

  • Ad hoc tasks as directed

  • Support colleagues from all areas of the business as required.

    · Previous experience within a similar Accounts based role


  • · Experience using Sage 50 accounts

    · Proficient in Excel

    · Open Gi experience (desirable)

    · AAT Level 3 (preferred) or willingness to work towards, Are you an analytical, methodical, and detailed orientated person looking for that next step? Do you hold a Level 3 AAT qualification and/or have previous experience within a similar Accounts based role? We may have just the right role for you.,
