Full Job Description

We are looking to for a 3rd line Infrastructure Analyst to join our growing IT team. In this role you'll be helping to administer our predominantly Microsoft Server Infrastructure, across multiple sites. You'll get involved in BAU maintenance, software/firmware upgrades, and patching on server infrastructure and networking equipment.

You'll also be a point of escalation for incident and problem tickets from the Service Desk, so you will have excellent diagnostic skills as they may range from printing issues, to more complex issues that require group policy amendments. We'd love it if you were able to spot trends of escalations and help our 1st/2nd line analysts to be able to resolve these themselves over time.

You'll also assist with monthly security scans and help implement the remediation of any identified CVEs, as well as getting heavily involved with ongoing and upcoming projects.

Why's this a great opportunity?

It's a good time to join the team, as we we're embarking on a journey to migrate the majority of our services from on-premise to cloud-based infrastructure.

There's a huge focus on projects too. You'll play a huge part in these, supporting the Group Head of IT Infrastructure, Security & Support with infrastructure projects like our Office 365 migration, and supporting the rollout of Cisco Meraki that's also underway.

It's not just about supporting; we'll be looking for you to make recommendations on new technologies and improvement opportunities.

You'll not be line managing anybody in this role, but you'll be coaching and developing 1st/2nd line Service Desk analysts and promote knowledge sharing through documentation and the creation of KB articles.

You're a 3rd Line Support Analyst, Technical Support/ Infrastructure Engineer with a great amount of IT knowledge gained from working in a Microsoft Windows Server environment, focusing on server and network equipment.

You've got excellent diagnostic skills and you're able to analyse problems and identify the root cause, then implement appropriate solutions. You've got a good understanding and experience of working with hypervisors, ideally VMware vSphere.

You have experience of Office 365 migration/Azure AD administration. You've had exposure to switch configuration, firewall configuration, as well as IP based phone systems. You have a good level of understanding in networking.

You're someone who's sold on the idea of the ITIL framework including the Design, Transition, Operation, and CSI processes, and are used to creating training guides, training people, going live, and then monitoring.

We're Care Fertility, we're the largest private provider of IVF and fertility treatment in the UK.

We draw on the knowledge of our wider team of over 600 dedicated doctors, embryologists, nurses and support teams who all work together to ensure our patients get the very best fertility treatment.

At Care we care, for our patients and for our people. We believe in helping you to reach your full potential.

If you join Care, you can look forward to a challenging and rewarding role, with great results bringing great opportunity for recognition and promotion.

In a company where hard work and great results are recognised, you can look forward to a supportive culture of collaboration where we value each other.
