Full Job Description

We are currently seeking a Safeguarding Children advisor to join our team at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, that is a highly motivated and experienced practitioner who is capable of positively influencing practice and is competent to lead practitioners in the provision of appropriate safeguarding input for those receiving care from BHNFT with the support of the Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children., BHNFT has an all age Safeguarding Team that performs corporate functions to ensure that BHNFT meets it statutory and contractual obligations in terms of safeguarding. This work includes;

Ensuring that all staff have the required knowledge, skills and competence to support them in identifying and responding to any safeguarding concerns ensuring action has been taken to keep people safe.

Ensuring staff have access to advice, support and supervision appropriate to their need and role

Ensuring that suitable policies, procedures and guidance are in place to underpin safe practice

To work in partnership across Barnsley and surrounding areas to promote safeguarding agendas and partnership working
